Migrating from Aptoide to Catappult

Why is my account being migrated?

All Aptoide developer accounts are being migrated to Catappult because this is the entity that will focus on distributing apps to Aptoide and other app stores. This will be benefitial to both app creators and users; each platform will be able to tailor their services to each one's needs.

What will happen to my apps and store?

Your apps and details will migrate along with your account into Catappult. Please remember that apps that are paid or have a different billing method than the Catappult one will not be migrated, but will still be available in Aptoide.

To get these apps ready for the migration you just need to integrate Catappult billing method; just check the documentation here.

When will the migration occur?

You can already migrate your account by logging in to Catappult with your Aptoide email and password. Last date to use Aptoide's developers portal is November 25th. After such date, you will be able to directly log in to Catappult with same credentials.

I forgot my Aptoide password. What can I do?

You can recover your password through both Aptoide and Catappult portals. To do so, please click here.

I can not migrate with success. Why?

This might be happening because of two main reasons:

  • Your Aptoide account is not a Developer but a User account. To know if you've got a user account, log in into Aptoide and check the dropdown menu that shows after clicking in your profile avatar (top right corner). If you only get three options: Dashboard, Settings and Logout, it means you have a User account. You'll have to create a new account in Catappult and upload your apps manually; or

  • Your Aptoide developer account is missing some details, like country or address. We need these details to migrate your account into Catappult, so please fill them in and try again!

Can I carry out the migration myself?

Yes. To migrate your account, you just need to log in to Catappult with your Aptoide credentials. Please take into account that all your apps will also be migrated, and the ones that are paid apps or have different in-app billing system than the Catappult one will be rejected.

How do I get my apps ready for Catappult in-app billing?

If your apps have a different billing system than the Catappult one, you will need to remove it and integrate the Catappult billing system. To do so, please check our documentation here.

Which are the requirements that my apps have to meet to be sucessfully migrated?

The requirements for your apps to be migrated to Catappult are very simple. Your apps must:

  • Not have a different billing system than the Catappult one.

  • Not be paid app.
